Animalintex Veterinary Dressing 10 pieces
Animalintex Veterinary Dressing
Animalintex Veterinary Dressing is a well-known, respected and fully approved product that can be used for a variety of purposes. It is ideal, for example, for treating infected wounds, open wounds, mud fever, abscesses, laminitis and bruises. The dressing can be used cold or warm.
How it works
Animalintex contains boric acid and tragacanth. Boric acid minimises infection and promotes faster healing. Tragacanth acts as a natural poultice, drawing out dirt and infection, reducing inflammation and creating a moist, clean environment for healing. The dressing is made of medicated cotton wool, which absorbs pus and keeps infected fluid away from the body, creating a cleaner environment. The polyethylene backing keeps external dirt out and retains moisture and heat, promoting faster healing.
How to use
Cut the dressing to size. Boil water and let it cool to 38°C, then immerse the dressing and squeeze out any excess water. If there is infected pus, it is important that the dressing is damp, not wet, so that the pus can be absorbed. To use the dressing cold, wait until the boiled water has cooled. Clean and dry the area, apply the dressing and secure it with a bandage. Change the dressing at least every 12 hours and monitor the healing progress.
